To celebrate the launch of the PS4 version of The Last of Us, Naughty Dog brings last year’s Game of the Year to life in front of hundreds of fans in Santa Monica, for one night only.
THE IDEA

With such a highly acclaimed titled, we knew a one night only event had to be more extraordinary. It had to be so unique that fans would fill the theatre and stream online to experience this once-in-a-lifetime event. For this, we would need the director of the game, the voice actors, and the stellar musicians who brought the game to life to reenact key scenes from the game on stage…and even perform a new epilogue as a true finale to the game. 
THE EXECUTION

Working with the teams at Sony and Naughty Dog, we created the digital and technical components for this live stream event. From the back of house management, timing, and hardware know-how, to the at-home streaming experience with fans, we managed to create a seamless experience for fans to see a once-in-a-lifetime event that celebrates the artistry behind the game with a performance of the score, a “live read” of key scenes featuring the principal actors, along with a live audience Q&A with the creative team.
MEASURING SUCCESS

Garnering live viewership with nearly 1 Million concurrent viewers across
Twitch, YouTube and the PlayStation Network, breaking previous records, along with community posts and articles regarding the night, and theater packed full of excited fans.
